It Takes a Village:
Congolese Family of Seven Move In!
THRIVE, in conjuntion with AJAPO and Angels in Overalls, moved in a Congolese family of seven into their new home in June. After several weeks of living in a hotel, this family was ready for some breathing space! Donated gently-used furniture was delivered, bedrooms were prepared with new beds, bathroom and kitchen were set up, and finishing touches were added. The three-bedroom apartment was finally ready for mom, dad, three daughters and two sons! As we visited with dad and little Boaz and oriented them to their apartment, we could feel the joy and anticipation they were feeling as they prepared the home for the rest of the family with their luggage and personal belongings!
