About the Event
Our second Supper Club: An Evening in Cameroon, will feature cuisine native to Cameroon. Our host cook, Laure, will tell us some of her "coming to America" story and why she is an asylum seeker here. You will also hear about her journey since she arrived and how she has found independence and success. Unfortunately, however, Laure is here, while her husband and children remain in Cameroon. Come and hear her hopes for her family.
THRIVE will also present information on how you can get involved and our latest updates on the refugee and asylum seeker families we are serving.
This evening's menu will include: Ndole (peanut soup)
Joliof rice and Spicy Ribs
Koki corn (corn tomales)
Accra Banana (deep fried banana fritters)
Coffee, Tea, Lemonade
